Old pictures of Fauldhouse

FAULDHOUSE is a quoad sacra parish and small town, in the civil parish of Whitburn, with a station on the Caledonian railway, and about 1 mile west from Crofthead station on the Morningside section of the same line, 7 miles south-by-west from Bathgate and 16 south from Linlithgow; the greater portion of the population find employment in the coal and ironstone mines which abound in the neighbourhood. The population in 1901 was 3,517.
