Old pictures of Addiewell
ADDIEWELL is a manufacturing village and ecclesiastical parish, about 1.5 miles southwest from West Calder village, and sprang up in 1866 in connection with the paraffin oil works, established here by Mr. James Young. The population of the ecclesiastical parish in 1901 was 3,054.
