Description
Correspondence file covering various matters associated with property relating to the Earl of Buchan. Loose papers (though original pinned together) now re filed together. The claim is for compensation for damage sustained to lands undermined and subsequent subsidence damage to burns, roads, fencing etc. The leases terminated in 1946 and 1956. The correspondence is dated from 1948 to 26 October 1959 and is mainly letters between the various agents for the parties. It also includes detailed statement of claims (schedule of dilapidations) and adjusted claim following negatiation between the parties.
