File containing typed copy minutes of the Board Meetings of the Directors of Young's Paraffin Light and Mineral Oil Company Limited from 25 March 1946 to 9 March 1967. The Minute date 27 October 1947 deals with the Burngrange Pit Accident and the setting up of The Burngrange Trust Fund to aid dependants of the 15 men who lost their lives in the accident. In general the minutes deal with Annual Accounts, appointments and resignations to the Board, Pension Scheme, and various activities unber the Companies Acts. They also deal with the Transfer of Assets and Liabities of The Broxburn Oil Company Limited, The Oakbank Oil Company and The Pumpherston Oil Company to the Company and compensation for Baads Colliery following Nationalisation of the Coal Industry. Other areas covered result from the contraction of the shale oil industry. Sale and disposal of workmen's houses to sitting tenants and other housing generally, disposal of Deans, Uphall Satation and Seafield Institutes and bowling greens and sale of other Company property including Addiewell Works site and Burngrange Farm & Pit Buildings.
