Lease between the Trustees of Miss F.M. & Miss J.A. Maitland and The Pumpherston Oil Company Limited. Sewn with pink thread and dated 9th January, 24th January and 1st February 1946. Document records the lease to the company of the oil shales under the lands of Grovemount in the Parish of Whitburn, West Lothian. Includes an untitled and undated plan at a scale of roughly 1;2500 showing the property concerned in pink outline, with the Bickerton and Foulshiels Burns in blue and the roads in buff.
