Description
Correspondence folder relating to the Blaes from Dunnet Mine. Correspondence covers September to December 1911 and concerns whether the blaes at the Dunnet mine should be worked and processed for oil by the Broxburn Oil Company (in which case the land-owners will receive a lordship of a penny per ton) or whether it should be discarded whenever it has to be dug during the course of mining operations. Diagrams of the stratification of the mineral seams in the Dunnet mine are included, but the plan to which they refer is no longer present.
