Minute of Agreement between Sir Simon MacDonald Lockhart and The Pumpherston Oil Company Limited, containing Disposition to the Company of piece of ground on farm of Southtown, spring of waters thereon, and right of Wayleave. The document is dated 26th March and 20th April 1914 and concerns a piece of ground 16 feet by 12 feet along with the spring that rises there and the wayleave 6 feet by 290 yards commencing at the spring and running to the boundary between Sir Simon MacDonald Lockhart's lands and the Dykehead lands. An untitled map (no scale given) is attached showing the spring (the intake well) and the wayleave in red, with the public road between Carnwath and Edinburgh marked in buff. The whole document is stitched with blue thread.
