Agreement between The Minister of Munitions, S. Pearsons & Son Ltd and Young's Paraffin Light and Mineral Oil Company Limited as to Boring for Petroleum. Dated 25th February 1920. Details compensation that the Minister will pay to the Company for all damage caused to any mines workings plant or machinery of the Company by any boring by the Petroleum Development Managers on the land and the agreement that if they cease boring, they will securely plug the boring hole to the satisfaction of the Company's mining agent. Also includes Scale Plan of Proposed Prospecting Area off Hartwood Road in West Calder Map No 82 Date 23.1.20 Scale 1:2500 with the area discussed in the agreement highlighted in pink. There are two copies of this document - one with original map and the other with a photocopy.
