OBITUARY

With real regret we record the passing of a well-known and highly respected resident, Mr Charles Morton, whose death took place at his home in Oakbank. Calders district for the greater part of his sixty odd years, was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Peter Morton, one time of East Calder. He has been in failing health for some time.

A quiet, unobtrusive fellow, Charlie, who was employed in the Brickmaking Plant at Pumpherston, was a general favourite in the district, and the sympathy of all classes in the community it expressed to his widow and the son and daughter by whom he is survived.
