WINCHBURGH. Death of a Managing Director.

On Friday forenoon the death occurred, under depressing circumstances, of Mr John Armour, managing director of the Hermand Oil Company. Mr Armour, who was 62 years of age, and resided at Niddrie Mains, Winchburgh, was in the habit of coming into the office of the company in Edinburgh every day. He paid his usual visit on Friday forenoon to the office at 6 Shandwick Place, where he had an appointment with another director, who, on going into the room, found Mr Armour lying in front of his desk on the floor with number of letters beside him. Dr Haig Fergusson was called, but life was found to be extinct. The doctor was of the opinion that deceased had died of heart disease.
