Description

T-shaped metallic electrician's key, one triangular end, one circular end.

Used to open the junction box of the signal bell in the mines when carrying out repairs

Donated by Joseph Anderson. He commenced an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship with Scottish Oils Ltd on 18 December 1929 until he was transferred to the National Coal Board in 1947. Duties included installation and maintenance of mining and oil works and plants, including switch and control gear, motors for driving pumps, haulages, winders and other equipment and the laying and joining of cables. He also conducted general and house wiring in conduit and lead covered systems
