Description
B&W negative copied in 1990 from official albums then held at Grangemouth refinery
The steam escaping from the central autoclave suggests that it has just been opened and that the bogies of finished brick can be pushed out once they have cooled. Soft bricks, pressed from a soft mixture of spent shale and lime, were loaded onto bogies and placed in the autoclave where they were subjected to high pressure steam for eight hours.
