PRISONER OF WAR - Trooper W. S. Black, Queen's Own Hussars, who was recently reported missing, is now reported to be a prisoner of war in the Middle East. His parents, Mr and Mrs Lewis Black, Kirkfield Bank, Uphall, received this welcome intelligence from the War Office on Monday.

ANOTHER P.O.W. BACK - Trooper William Black, 4th Queen's Own Hussars, son of Mr and Mrs Lewis Black, Kirkfield Bank, Uphall, after four years in a German Prisoners of War Camp, returned home on Monday. He looked fit and well. He joined up five years ago, and was taken prisoner while fighting in Greece. Prior to joining the Army, he was a conductor with S.M.T. Coy., Ltd.
