A small oil refinery, perhaps engaged in refining or blending locally produced oils, which was put up for sale in 1871. The works continued under the ownership of Robert Jolley & Co, as a general oil merchant and asphalter, until at least 1894.

Lamb and Sons have received instructions to SELL BY AUCTION, on Monday, the 17th day of July 1871, at the above address at Three o'clock in the afternoon, the whole of the WORKING PLANT. STOCK-IN-TRADE, &c.
