This case relates to the validity of the Patent dated 17 October 1850 held by James Young for "Treating Bituminous Coals to obtain Paraffine and Oil containing Paraffine therefrom". The Judgement of Vice-Chancellor Stuart is dated 26 May 1864 and finds in favour of James Young.
