Another A8 Fatality
The A8 highway which runs through West Lothian between Edinburgh and Glasgow, claimed another victim this week. He was Mr Alexander Kerr, a 64-year-old unemployed shale miner who was fatally injured in an accident east of Starlaw Junction late on Sunday night. Mr Kerr was walking from Bathgate to his home at 48 Glen Road, Livingston Station, when he was knocked down by a private car. An ambulance took him to Bangour Hospital where he died in the early hours on Monday morning as a result of his injuries. The car driver was uninjured.
