From 1st January 1932, the marketing interests of the Anglo Persian Oil Co. Ltd. in Scotland, and those of Royal Dutch Shell, were combined as "Scottish Oils and Shell Mex Ltd". The activities of the Scottish Oil Agency Ltd then ceased.
Elsewhere in the UK, this joint marketing partnership was conducted as "BP and Shell Mex Ltd". From 1st January 1963, Scottish Oils and Shell Mex Ltd was renamed "Shell and BP Scotland Ltd."
