The Contract of Tack has been signed by William Fraser and Robert Crichton, Directors Young's Paraffin Light and Mineral Oil Company Limited and by James Alexander Mackenzie, James Young, Peter Maclellan and William Maclellan Young as Trustees of the late John Young. Plan No.1 attached has been signed by the aforemention and shows the lands under which the minerals lie outlined in Red excepting those lands coloured Green and Yellow. Plan No.2 attached has also been signed by the aforementioned. The Area shown cross-hatched and single-hatched in Blue has been sold to the Caledonian Railway Company; Areas Coloured Red compensated under Lease of 1895 and Areas coloured Green compensated for on expiry of Lease at Whitsun 1925. Commencing 11th November 1904 and terminating 11th November 1935. The Lease has been signed by Thomas Watson and Henry Shaw Macpherson, Directors Youngs Paraffin Light and Oil Company Limited on 9 November 1904 and by Charles Simson, Rankine Simson and John Storrry Junior as Trustees of the deceased John Storry and Glaud Storry on 10 November 1904. There is a Plan attached showing Gavieside Estate signed and dated as aforesaid. The boundary of the estate is Coloured Red. Areas coloured Brown, Grey and Blue give the acres contained in the Mineral Lease. Minutes of meetings/agreements/conference between the two aforementioned bodies, relating to the difference of opinion in the interpretation of clause in the agreement regarding wages due to workers at No. 7 Mine, Philpstoun who were idle before the expiry of their notice. Mentioned in the agreement was Thomas McKerrell, from Ministry of Labour, Mr. W. Fraser of Scottish Oils and Robert Simpson of the Scottish Shale Miners' Association.
