Oil works:

A public company formed to purchase the Tarbrax oil works and associated mineral interests from William Fraser, Chairman of the Pumpherston Oil Co. Ltd. who appears to have acquired these on his own account following failure of the Caledonian Mineral Oil Co. Ltd. in February 1903. The board of the Pumpherston company became the first directors of the Tarbrax company, and most shares were purchased by existing Pumpherston shareholders. The two companies worked closely together, with all of the crude oil produced at Tarbrax being purchased for refining at Pumpherston. The Tarbrax company was amalgamated with the Pumpherston company in 1912.
