  • PAINTER SEVERELY INJURED, On Saturday, John Robertson (45), a painter in the employment of the Pumpherston Oil Company, Glasgow, while engaged in painting one of the company’s permanent oil tanks, situated at the north side of Sinclairtown station, met with an accident, attended by severe injury. About eleven o’clock the unfortunate workman, mounted on a ladder, was apparently leaning to one side to paint a certain portion of the tank, when he overbalanced and fell to the ground, adistance of fifteen feet, inflicting injuries his head. Constable Keith Robertson conveyed him to the Police Office, and thence to Kirkcaldy Hospital, where examination Dr Brown found he was suffering from concussion. Fife Free Press, 21st June 1913
