    • FIRE AT DUNDEE OIL DEPOT.

      A fire, which had alarming possibilities, broke out on Saturday afternoon in the power house at the Esplanade occupied by the Scottish Oil Agency, Limited. Immediately above the power house was a huge tank full of crude oil. A passer-by saw smoke issuing from window in the building, and at once informed the fire brigade. Captain Weir was speedily the scene with a large detachment of the brigade, and the fire was caught in time. The fire had been caused the fusing of the main switchboard, and was extinguished chemical extincteurs before the woodwork of the switchboard was more than charred. The damage was slight
